Program & Talks
The 2026 program covers cloud penetration testing (AWS, Azure, Entra), Windows kernel internals and BYOVD exploitation, Active Directory and AD CS misconfigurations, detection engineering and SOC alert fatigue, building your own IDS with Suricata and ELK, OSINT and passive reconnaissance, WebAuthn and passwordless authentication with passkeys and FIDO2, ransomware attacks on AI/ML systems (OWASP LLM06 and ML06), IoT and hardware hacking, and smart contract bribery attacks on Ethereum. Yes. Several 2026 talks target defenders directly: Alert Fatigue Therapy: Fixing Broken Detection Rules is a deep dive into detection engineering and high-fidelity rule design, Build your own IDS walks through a Suricata + ELK SIEM setup for custom detection and threat hunting, and We Scanned 10,000 Danish Orgs Without Sending a Single Packet shows what passive recon predicts about real compromise risk. See all blue team sessions.
BSides Aarhus 2026 is a technical conference. Most talks assume working knowledge of security concepts and dive into specific techniques — AD CS misconfigurations, smart contract logic on Ethereum, reverse engineering IoT firmware, and detection engineering tradeoffs. Talks are accessible to mid-level practitioners and above; students and newcomers are welcome and will find both deep dives and broader context. Browse the full session list.
BSides Aarhus 2026 features a reverse engineering session: Remote Cold Execution by Tom Kern walks through reverse engineering of an Orca heat pump's controller protocol and a remote takeover vulnerability. See also hardware hacking and IoT security.
BSides Aarhus 2026 is focused on talks across two parallel tracks, plus networking — there are no separate workshops, villages, or CTF this year. Browse the full agenda and session list.
